Target (audience): Both rose connoisseurs and those new to roses. The goal of the event is to share knowledge and experience, which will benefit everyone.

Course Description: This workshop takes a closer look at various wild roses.
Morning: Theory and practice in the classroom
Brief introduction to identifying wild roses. Identification of various Rosa species* through a scavenger hunt in small groups using identification keys. After the identification exercise in small groups, comparison of results and discussion of findings and challenges.
Lunch: varies depending on the weather (picnic in or near the classroom)
Afternoon: Field trip (Scuol area)
Identifying the roses we encounter along our route. Applying the identification skills learned that morning out in the field, and sharing insights and discussing the identifications.
*Specimens from the Engadin will be on display. All participants are invited to bring their own wild roses that they have collected.
What to Bring: Weather-appropriate clothing, water bottle, packed lunch, magnifying glass
