Bündner Woche: Report on Flora Raetica

Mapping mission in Tomils — with journalistic support

How does a lightning inventory work? Which plants grow around Ortenstein Castle near Tomils? And why are such mappings important?

A journalist from Bündner Woche accompanied Ingrid Jansen and Doris Sonderegger on a mapping mission and gained exciting insights into the “Flora Raetica” project. The report shows how the two employees record plant species, what they look out for when mapping and what contribution their observations make to the preservation of the flora of Graubünden. At the same time, readers learn more about the aims and working methods of Flora Raetica.

The result is a readable article about botanical fieldwork, the change in flora in Graubünden and the commitment of many volunteers to the flora of Graubünden.
